God's Garden

RAIN. Blessed, beautiful rain. We asked for it and we got it. Some of the garden plants were suffering and in danger of failing. Time spent watering the garden prior to the rain served not only to save some of the plants, but also to soften the soil so it was better able to absorb the rain once it came. With the rain came a better crop of broccoli, cabbage, and onions which we are already picking. The cucumbers have started to come in and the beans will arrive by the time this gets to your mail.

Another thing that the rain gave a big boost was the weeds. Boy! Do we have a bumper crop of them. Thanks to all who have stopped by to spend some time pulling weeds. That is the key to having plentiful crops as well as a nice looking garden. There is lots of potential for our garden and lots of opportunities for everyone to help and enjoy the fruits of our labor.
